Our Mission

Edge Habitat Wilderness Sanctuary was created in 2007 with the goal of providing an inspiring place for others to connect deeply to the earth and to their God - the best and highest thing they know.

By living a life of simplicity and closeness to the natural world, we wish to inspire anyone who passes our way to consider simplifying and naturalizing his or her own life.

By farming without tilling the soil we wish to demonstrate an easier and more gentle approach to agriculture, and inspire others to grow their own gardens.

By living without petroleum and electric lights we wish to inspire others to explore alternative means of transportation and energy, to walk more, turn off the lights and enjoy the darkness, turn off the TV and enjoy the quiet or conversations with loved ones.

By providing a beautiful place for solitude and deep reflection, we wish to inspire others to begin a contemplative, meditative practice and open personal channels to a higher awareness.

By studying and discussing the great masters of peace who have passed before us and who are alive today, we wish to inspire others to bring principles of peace and nonviolence into every aspect of their lives.

When I admire the wonders of a sunset         or the beauty of the moon,

my soul expands in the worship of the creator.
